Are you ready?
The next couple of months will definitely not be boring! You will do well to keep your eyes, ears, mind and spirit wide open in order to take advantage of the opportunities and avoid the pitfalls that are possible on this wild and exciting ride!
Now we are in Eclipse season for sure with 3 Eclipses instead of only the usual two so we are bound to see a cycle of greater levels of change, especially since the coming Solar Eclipse on July 22 is a very strong one.
Our personal security, how we lovingly nurture ourselves and others and the releasing of any unsupportive ties that do not add to our lives has gone through major upheaval, transformation and streamlining since the Cancer New Moon on June 22 opposed by Pluto, the “Great Eliminator.”
Starting tonight, at 2:22 a.m. we will experience a Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Capricorn which brings to the foreground our goals and is a time to stand back and assess them so your career/work gets a lot of attention now.
Since the New Moon of June 22 it’s as if we’re walking along and a portal opens and we walk through and it closes behind us…It takes awhile to get used to the new air we are breathing before advancing to the next opening, as there is no going back. That’s my experience, anyway. As the “Great Eliminator,” Pluto, opposed the New Moon, our attitudes about family, home and nurturing have been transformed and streamlined. Tonight’s Lunar Eclipse will bring us more information on the growth we are experiencing and our level of commitment to our own personal security and the level of healthy emotional nurturing that we are allowing ourselves, as well as a deeper look at our goals and career objectives.
WHAT IS A LUNAR ECLIPSE?
During a Lunar Eclipse the earth stands between the Moon and the Sun, cutting off the light of the Sun. A Lunar Eclipse is always a Full Moon and usually marks endings or culmination points. Remember -- during a Full Moon repressed emotions overflow the banks of our defenses, often bringing high emotion and great awareness. Just as the Sun and Moon are on opposite sides of the sky, as if mirroring each other, we have the opportunity to see ourselves in others if we are willing to look and this, of course, can be quite growthful.
WHAT IS THE EFFECT, OR PURPOSE, OF A LUNAR ECLIPSE?
LUNAR ECLIPSES TEND TO SHAKE US UP SO WE CAN MOVE FROM ONE LEVEL OF EVOLUTION AND MATURITY TO ANOTHER PHASE, FAIRLY RAPIDLY.
CHARACTERISTICS OF AN ECLIPSE:
1. They often bring news of life’s “big” events, such as births, marriages, career breakthroughs, starting a business, divorce, publishing a book, etc.
WHATEVER HAPPENS – IT IS CLEAR THAT THE UNIVERSE IS INTENT ON MOVING YOU FORWARD NO MATTER WHAT!
2. Tend to take seriously any message you hear at at the time of an eclipse. ECLIPSES SHINE THE BRIGHT LIGHT OF TRUTH TO THE PART OF YOUR LIFE THAT IS TOUCHED BY THE ECLIPSE (especially if any of your birthchart planets are directly affected).
3. You can experience GREAT FLASHES OF INSIGHT and feel that you finally “understand” something that has been puzzling you.
4. There is a feeling all around you of life moving speedily, like on “fast forward”; greatly accelerated. WITH ALL ECLIPSES SOMETHING ENDS AND SOMETHING ELSE BEGINS.
5. Try not to issue ultimatums or make big actions under an eclipse. Bide your time, if possible, and make decisions in a couple of weeks when the air is clearer. IN GENERAL IT IS BETTER TO LISTEN THAN TO ACT.
6. You may definitely feel more emotional than usual under an eclipse, especially a Lunar Eclipse.
7. Eclipses are neither good nor bad, they just present opportunities and it sometimes takes weeks to understand their real meaning. NOTE: ECLIPSES CAN HELP YOU DO THINGS YOU NEVER THOUGHT YOU COULD DO.
8. In other words -- they may open a door that was previously, or felt as if it was, impossible to enter. Sometimes things happen where you don’t have time to think and if given time to think too much about you may not have had the courage to try or to participate in at all.
9. Solar Eclipses work differently than Lunar Eclipses and emphasize beginnings.
A LUNAR ECLIPSE IS A GREAT TIME TO FINISH THINGS, TO LET GO OF THINGS. IT IS AN EXCELLENT TIME TO GIVE UP AN OLD HABIT -- SMOKING, FOR EXAMPLE.
A GREAT EXERCISE TO DO ANYTIME BETWEEN THE LUNAR ECLIPSE AND THE NEXT NEW MOON (Therefore now - since the Lunar Eclipse is tonight at 2:22 a.m. and the next New Moon Solar Eclipse on July 22 is a Doozy!): THINK OF THE THINGS IN YOUR LIFE YOU WOULD LIKE TO BRING TO A CLOSE, FINISH OR END, WHATEVER IT IS -- The contract you want to get signed, the job you want to finish, the guilty feeling, the unhealthy relationship – the nasty smoking habit. It may help you to sit down in a quiet place and write down anything that comes to you in this regard.
Remember – you are asking for assistance from the universe or the source to clear out any old energies and make room for the things you want to bring into your life and there is a great deal of power in this request and intention! Ask yourself: Where have I been directing my energy? What do I need to receive? What do I need to release? What do I need to heal?
Full Moons, and especially eclipses, expose the “ShadowSide” of both signs involved. During tonight’s Capricorn Lunar Eclipse be aware of the “Shadow Side” of both Cancer and Capricorn: The shadow side of Cancer is immaturity and excessive self-indulgence – the “Wounded child” that lives on sabotaging our happiness and sacrificing ourselves in the hope that eventually our needs will be met resulting in EMOTIONAL DENIAL AT THE CORE.
The shadow side of Capricorn avoids taking responsibility and accepting the consequences of its actions. It worships power and authority and attempts to dominate and control and win at any cost. Also, abdication of responsibility and blame, shame and guilt are all part of the Capricornian shadow. Traditionally, Capricorn has come to be associated with more masculine qualities. However, this lunar eclipse highlights the longstanding inequality between the masculine and feminine and the necessity of balancing and returning to the spiritual intentions of both Cancer and Capricorn -- The most positive expression of Cancer is the creation, nurturance and protection of life. The positive side of Capricorn is integrity, discipline, and dedication to what serves everyone. Saturn forms a favorable aspect to both the Sun and Moon during this eclipse that supports reason and competence in terms of material survival and focuses on discipline and commitment to release us from fear and turn us towards self-mastery.
Tonight’s Full Moon is preparing us for the next super-strong Solar Eclipse/New Moon in the last degree of Cancer on July 22. IT IS NOT ONLY A TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE -- IT IS THE LONGEST ECLIPSE THAT WILL OCCUR IN THE 21ST CENTURY -- WOW! It’s like a super-hot New Moon and it’s aspected and stimulated by Uranus – the “wild card,” so sudden changes will be apparent – But more on this humdinger in my next writings.
i like this article, no wonder that our technology is really improving.
