Yay! The Power of the Feminine continues to
emerge! At present there is much
planetary energy for bringing great nurturing and Divine Feminine Mother energy
more fully onto the earth plane. This is
truly a rebirth of the feminine which hasn’t been experienced since the fall of
the Goddess cultures, which occurred about 5,000 years ago.
We
have an extremely rare occurrence of 2 consecutive New Moons in the same sign –
Cancer -- within one month, which many astrologers would designate as a “Blue
Moon.” The first of these that peaked
on June 22, is a profound opportunity to see into the dark, the unconscious and
to release old programming around the feminine.
It is potent and unmistakable and in some cases extremely uncomfortable
in impact – the Sun and Moon being opposed by the planet
Pluto – the Great Transformer. It’s
greatest gift is to launch an entirely new phase in our relationship to family,
nurturing and the feminine.
Remember: With the highest form
of compassion Pluto allows us the opportunity to release anything on any level
that is not adding to our lives and our soul’s evolutionary journey. So this New Moon and the following one on
July 21-22 (which is in another challenging aspect to Pluto – a quinqunx) allow
us to see, if we are willing, any areas, situation, or old habits or mental
patterns that are in need of revamping, paring down or releasing.
The
second New Moon on July 21-22 will be a Total Solar Eclipse making it even more
potent. – but more about that later.
This
New Moon in Cancer – is part of an ongoing process of feminine empowerment that
we have been involved in all spring as she is raised to even footing with the
masculine. This has been played out
through the ongoing dance of Venus and Mars travelling together for months
now. There is no going back! This is not a transitory event but a solid
and continual emergence into the spotlight and a new way of life bringing the
alignment of male and female energies both within each of us and manifesting in
our relationships and directly in our day to day lives. Tuesday's (June 22) opposition of Pluto to the
New Moon in Cancer is purifying and strengthening this power.
Cancerian
issues – Food, Family, Nurturing Issues and and Our Past History are subject to
transformation and paring down now.
How
do you feel about your own mother? You have a great opportunity during this
Cancerian Moon period to evolve in that relationship whether she is still on
the earth plane or not.
How
you nurture yourself or are engaged in nurturing others is definitely up for
streamlining and shifting. With Saturn
in Virgo ruling Pluto in Capricorn there may be the need to accept, honor and
direct your nurturing impulses in healthy directions and to nurture yourself
first of all.
This
is a great time to transform your relationship with food, your mother, your
children and, most importantly, with the parenting that you have internalized
into your being for however many years.
And the current Saturn in Virgo until the end of the year urges us to
take responsibility for our own care and feeding.
The
message of Pluto in this New Moon and the following one in Cancer on July 21-22
is clear, however: ELIMINATE WHAT
YOU DON’T NEED
BEFORE TAKING ON
ANYTHING NEW. Pluto’s influence is not meant to destroy
anything essential but you may need to narrow your focus and reorder your
priorities.
There
is a risk of engaging in power struggles.
Some may need to cut someone out of their life or reduce that person’s
influence.
These
effects will be felt by everyone to some degree but especially, of course, if
you have planets directly affected in your own birthchart.
Remember
if you are reading this you definitely are and have been in transformation and
you are lightening your emotional load for the long haul.
These New Moons
actually, with the help of Pluto, highlight our power to successfully harness
the balance between our private life, our home life, and public drives and
career and to gain a more profound and productive understanding of the link
between where we have been/past/Cancer and where we are going/goals/Capricorn and
to resolve to make the changes/adjustments/allowances required to satisfy these
polarities.
Today,
Wednesday, June 24, while we still feel the somewhat somber emotional
environment of the Cancer New Moon with much Pluto influence the moon moves
into the sign of Leo so our mood can be lifted with some Leo confidence and the
power of positive thinking. When the
Moon is in a fire sign, such as Leo, it
becomes easier to create a dynamic and appealing picture of the future, reshaping
reality using the power of the human heart (Leo rules the heart in astrology)
and mind.
