SURFING ON THE PLANETARY
WAVES WITH CAROLYN #2 - June 17, 2009
Does it feel as if change is happening so rapidly
you can hardly keep up? Don't feel alone.
Remember -- We carry all the planetary energies
inside of ourselves. Therefore, it behooves each of us to have a basic awareness of
the planetary cycles that are not only affecting us but the entire planet.
The Full Moon of June 7 offered us a mega "reality
check," and hopefully much valuable information. During the entire month
of June there continues to be very powerful energies at work and opportunities to
expand and grow and to release whatever no longer resonates with who we truly
are.
What could be called the "Ascension" planets --
Chiron, Neptune and Jupiter -- remain close together in the late degrees of
Aquarius and are traveling in a growth aspect to Uranus, "The Awakener,"
in Pisces. These planets joining together in the skies are setting
long-term cycles into motion that affect the entire world. I am going to
spend a little time on this magnificent grouping of planets as, interestingly
enough, the last time these 3 planets were moving together in the heavens was in
September of 1945, just after the end of World War II. Chiron had
yet to be discovered. (In 1977 it was officially sighted and recognized) and it
is only at present that humanity is becoming ready for the profound healing and
embracing of not only our individual "wounds" but for the collective healing
opportunity that the strongly placed transiting Chiron at present embodies for
us all.
Chiron is all about recovering and healing the
lost pieces of our lives -- the previously disowned and unloved parts.
It's symbol is the "Key" and it certainly is. Chiron is about "embodying"
and learning to function squarely with our feet planted in this earth plane
despite physical, or emotional impediments or blocks that we may still be
experiencing and, furthermore, becoming aware of and embracing the perfection of
the incredible "gifts" and wisdom in every perceived "wound" that is just
waiting to be discovered beneath a seemingly painful exterior.
Wounding manifesting in the physical body is
certainly relevant here. It is no coincidence that just yesterday I
listened to Barack Obama strongly bring forward his ideas on essential health
care reform in a speech to the American Medical Association. Of
course, this may not be easy and most likely will require a huge amount of
discussion and debate but the planetary energies discussed previously
unquestionably support change, healing and humanitarian compassion big-time!(The
major player planets all traveling together -- Neptune, Chiron and Jupiter -- aspected by Uranus -- are all in Aquarius --
and Obama has an Aquarius Rising Sign). Aquarius is the sign of the
Humanitarian; the Revolutionary; the Truth Sayer, after all).
Since January 5, when Jupiter entered Aquarius, we
have been expanding our sphere of influence and paying more attention to the
larger world -- possibly joining a group, or groups and becoming more involved
in our communities. Just yesterday, June 15, Jupiter turned retrograde
giving us all an opportunity to review our decisions and involvements and to cut
back and possibly curtail any possible excesses, if necessary. Don't
panic! ALL of the retrograde cycles of the planets are a necessary
part of our life cycles (more on this in later writings). With
Jupiter retrograde it is a time to clearly re-envision your life and to dream
bigger than you ever have before. Open yourself to receive inspiration and
guidance and be open to physical and emotional healing more than you ever
thought was possible.
On Sunday, June 21, Mars and Venus, archetypal
energies associated with the Masculine and the Feminine, come together in
Taurus, underscoring the birth of a new balance of power between the Mythic
Goddess of Love and the God of War. This process of the balancing of
the Masculine and Feminine within each of us is huge. We have been
growing and building this energy for months.
We are rapidly approaching a New Moon in Cancer on
Monday, June 22. This is the second of 5 "Supermoons" this year when the
Moon is closest to the Earth. Along with experiencing more intense
emotions and upwelling from the unconscious, ocean tides are affected and the
tectonic plates experience increased geopathic stress. The Sun and
Moon are in Cancer. The essence of Cancer is to foster, protect and
nurture, representing the Great Mother, Goddess of the Mysteries of Life, Growth
and Death. Pluto, the Transformer, opposes both the Sun and the Moon in
exact degree giving each of us the opportunity to release any old programming
around the feminine that we still carry.
Ask yourself: Is there any place inside of
me I still do not honor, or in fact, denigrate, my emotions, my needs, my
intuition, my sensitivity? Where do I ignore the signals from my body and
from the natural world?
